Teaching Philosophy

Robert LundquistRobert E. Lundquist, owner and teacher, is a highly skilled teacher of piano, voice and composition and can teach these subjects singly or in combination.

His approach to each student’s education is carefully individualized to help each student realize his or her highest potential as a musician.

His primary goal is to teach a love and knowledge of music through the acquisition of skills and experience as a pianist, vocalist or composer. Robert E. Lundquist Music Studio students consistently win performance and composition competitions at Bellingham, state, regional and national levels—often multiple times.

For students of intermediate or advanced skills who are considering music as a career, Mr. Lundquist has proven abilities in preparing students for college or conservatory study.

Many of his students have gone on to premier music schools with full or partial scholarships in recognition of their accomplishments and preparation, including Cornish College of the Arts, Oberlin Conservatory, The Peabody Institute, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
